Abound's 73rd Annual Business Meeting

We’re excited to share details about our 73rd Annual Business Meeting, featuring country music artist JD Shelburne!

Yes, a business meeting with a free concert … we’re actually serious about this.

Each year on the second Tuesday in May, Abound’s Board of Directors hosts a business meeting for all Abound Credit Union Members. Our first business meeting was back in 1951, one year after we were founded by ten civilians living on Fort Knox military base.

The purpose of this business meeting is to discuss financial highlights from the previous year, sharing the latest benefits of Membership and providing an overview of our community involvement activities. These details are shared by our volunteer Board of Directors (this group of people is elected by Abound Members.)

73rd Annual Business Meeting

Performing Arts Center at John Hardin High School

384 W A Jenkins Road

Elizabethtown, KY 42701

Doors open at 4:30pm ET

Business meeting begins at 5:30pm ET.

No tickets required.

This year you can expect to see the following happen during our meeting:

  1. Light refreshments in the Commons Areas inside John Hardin High School, starting at 4:30pm ET. Meet our Board of Directors & Team Members.
  2. Post the Colors, led by John Hardin High’s ARMY ROTC Color Guard
  3. Enjoy performances by Central Hardin High School Choir. Twelve choir Members will be attending.
  4. Learn 2023 Credit Union successes after moving into the PAC. This will be led by our Board of Directors.
  5. Hear a President’s Report from Abound’s President / CEO Ray Springsteen.
  6. Meet our 2024 Roush Scholarship winners. Each year, ten high-performing students living in our service areas are selected as recipients of our Howard Roush Memorial Scholarship. We award a total of $25,000 to these graduating seniors.
  7. Cash prize drawing happens on stage. All attending Members will be given raffle tickets to place in a drawing for cash prizes. Members must be present to win. In addition, each Member will receive a gift for attending.
  8. Experience a private show with JD Shelburne.

Kentucky-native JD Shelburne currently resides in Tennessee with his wife and son. JD’s journey has taken him from Taylorsville, KY to the iTune Country Top Ten, landed him on CMT and the Circle Network, found him opening for ZZ Top, Miranda Lambert and Marty Stuart, put him on the cover of Kentucky’s Official Visitor’s Guide and made national news for the sheer size and exuberance of a crowd numbering in the tens of thousands at one of his hometown concerts. We’re excited to welcome JD back for the second year in a row.

JD will be signing autographs and taking photos following his performance.

This event does not require a ticket. First come first serve seating. We’re excited to see you there!
