Active duty personnel and veterans have done their part to protect our country and preserve our freedom. At Abound Credit Union, we strive to do our part by supporting causes that benefit the military community.
We're proud of our roots in the military community
The Credit Union opened in 1950 to serve civilian personnel at Fort Knox. Since then, military personnel, families and support staff have had a special place in our hearts. As a result, we provide funding and other contributions to many organizations with ties to the armed forces. They include:
- USA Cares: Over the years, Abound has donated over $480,000 to this nonprofit that provides provides financial and advocacy assistance to post-9/11 military personnel, veterans and their families
- Veterans 2 Entrepreneur (V2E): Helping Veterans become successful business owners
- Baptist Health Hardin: Established a 10-year, $1.5 million partnership to support military and community health
- Military Education Association (MEA)
- Wreaths Across America
- Knox Regional Development Alliance (KRDA)
- Toys for Tots
- Textbooks for Troops
